Due to Rabid Support From Brazilian Fans, Avenged Sevenfold Will Perform at the SWU Music & Arts Festival in Sao Paolo on October 11th

BURBANK, CA--(Marketwire - August 2, 2010) -  Thanks to overwhelming demand from Avenged Sevenfold fans in Brazil, the Southern California hard-rock band will join the line-up of this year's SWU Music & Arts Festival held in São Paolo.

Avenged will perform on the third day of the festival, October 11th, joining Linkin Park, Queens Of The Stone Age, Incubus and many others.

The band released their fifth studio album Nightmare on July 27th. Produced by Mike Elizondo (Dr. Dre, Eminem) and mixed by noted engineer Andy Wallace, Nightmare was in the works when A7X's beloved drummer, Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, passed away. The Los Angeles Times has praised Nightmare's "elegiac power ballads," and called it "the band's most personal effort yet."

On August 17th, Avenged Sevenfold will set out co-headlining the first annual Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival with Disturbed. Also on the bill are Stone Sour, Halestorm, and Hell Yeah. Mike Portnoy from Dream Theatre plays drums on Nightmare and will also tour with the band for UPROAR.
